Rubber band man

Lance has taken exercising to a whole new level. Look out fashion week...it's rubber band man.

Pumpkin Patch

To kick off October Grana and Destiny came up to visit. While they were here Grana treated us all to the local Pumpkin Patch. Although it was a little windy that day that didn't stop all of us from having fun. The boys favorite part was climbing the hay pyramid and picking out their very own pumpkins.

Candy Land Literature Night!

This year, the boy's elementary school put on a Candy Land Literature Night. Each classroom featured a different theme where each child that read one page of a book recieved a handful of candy. It was a lot of fun for the kids to see their classmates dressed up and of course to fill their bags full of treats!

It's not just about being really really good looking...

Yesterday, like the character Derek Zoolander,I too realized that life might not be just about being ridiculiously good looking. Like maybe there's more to life, like helping kids who can't read good. Unfortunately, helping kids is not always as easy as being a male model or so it would seem. Yesterday was a tough one at work. I realized that I'm not superwoman and discovered just how human I really am. I realized that I need ALL the Fruit of God's Holy Spirit to be able to work with children, such as Peace, Patience, Kindness just to name a few. I know that God is using this experience to make my relationship with Him more authentic and real than it has ever been. Unlike Derek Zoolander, I realize that an orange mocha frappachino is not any kind of solution for a bad day (though it does sound really good). Thanks to God and his Son dying on the cross for my sins am I able to wake each morning knowing that though I may fall I will rise again. For anyone out there raising children bless you and be encourage that there is more to life than being really good looking and for those of you helping kids that can't read good I will be praying for you.

Just for Fun

While Shannon was off looking for quail in the brush of Sacagawea Park, the boys and I took off to snap some pictures. This was a fun day where we enjoyed being outside and and having the Park to ourselves.

A New Friend

Since moving to Pasco the boy's favorite thing to do is "hang out with David". David is our nieghbor who is high spirited and loves finally having some boys on the block to play with. Every day after school I can always count on Tyson and Lance to ask "can we play with David"? This picture was taken at the Park of Dreams where they spent the day playing transforms.

Official Hockey Fans!

Our first hockey game with the boys was last Saturday. It was a WHL game where we rooted on the Tri-City Americans. They played awesome and scored 5 goals. The best part of the game were all the clapping, cheering, and bell ringing fans that made this experience unforgettable. I think we are offically WHL hooked!

One Word and Maiden Name

Okay, since all of you are doing this, and it looks so much fun please write one word that you think describes me. Girls--be brutally honest I can take it! My maiden name is Howell aka "Howler" I don't know how I got that nickname? No really--I don't know. I presume it's because I was so loud on the volleyball court during my high school days. Ha ha...Alright, that was probably more information than you needed so fire away!

About time!

First of all I must apologize to all my dearest friends. I have been meaning to post a blog for three weeks and the only excuse I dare say is I'M TIRED! August was a blur so to catch up I'm gonna give the short--short version. Well, first we officially moved to our new place in Pasco! Yeah! We love it in our new home and I think my husband is finally ready to settle down. Second we all started school! Shannon started as the new humanities teacher at Pasco High School. They have over 3800 students. It's like a small town all on it's own. Then I started teaching preschool at the boys and girls club. I love my job, but having to start work at 7 has been rough. Tyson started First grade and loves it. His favorite thing about school is that he has three recesses and he gets to eat lunch in the cafeteria. Lance started kindergarten but isn't as thrilled as his brother, because he doesn't get to have snacks. I try to tell him that he can go three hours without a snack, but he still feels like he's getting the short end of the stick. Other than that we are trying to get into the swing of things. I really have been enjoying Pasco, but miss all my friends.

In the mean time...

Since our plans to move have been a little postponed we've been taking advantage of the extra time. On this evening, I couldn't help but capture the beautiful scenery, however, Ty and Lance were both disappointed that we couldn't take the snapping turtle we found home with us.

Tagged

I couldn't resist playing, however, I must confess my house is not always this clean and all my laundry during these pictures were sitting bagged in my van (ask me later).

My dream Vacation-- a week at the beach with my boys.

What the boys are up to--supposedly napping

My Favorite room--I love a nice fire, candles and just enough light to read!

My Favorite Shoes--My crocs fashionable for any occasion

My sink--yeah!! No dishes

My Fridge--Nothing special in there

My Closet--I think Shannon packed some of my clothes because some of my stuff is missing...hmmm

My bathroom--I love having my own sink!

Last but not least the Laundry room--I will not be missing this room when I move
