When my sister first asked me to join her on a three hour train ride to Seattle to pick up her new car, and return with her on a four hour drive back home, I was a little reluctant. I knew it was the adventure I was needing, but I was just so tired from school and everything else that I kept dragging my feet. However, I was so glad that I decided to go, because I forgot how much fun Kyla and I have traveling. The trip ended up being just what the doctor ordered. The train ride was great, but felt a lot slower than the Eurorail.I will never forget the no cell phone rule and the child's electronic book that kept repeating the most annoying song. Or the fact, that we discovered an outlet for my laptop 15 minutes before our train ride ended. I also won't forget Kyla driving down the wrong side of the street in downtown Seattle or the woman at the bus stop screaming at us to get out of the way of on comming traffic. I also won't forget how we got to visit the original Starbucks!!! Yeah, checked another box off my bucket list. I definately won't forget the weird house decorated with beer caps in Ellensburg. Or the yellow church cafe that served the best carrot cake and coffee. Or the deep belly laughs we had as we relished getting lost and casting off all time limits. Thanks Kyla for reminding me that like Jack Johnson says it's okay to "break down" every now and then! Thanks for the adventure!
